Terrapin Station
Ski in/out to the Buttercup Chairlift, pet-friendly, hot tub, gas firepit
Property Highlights
Welcome to Terrapin Station – for those who’d rather chase first chair, last light, and a good soak under the stars than hang out in a lobby. This rare 1BR/2BA corner townhome (4 guests max + 1 pup) sits in Tamarack Resort’s quiet Clearwater neighborhood with true SKI IN/SKI OUT access to the Buttercup Chairlift. No shuttles. No parking-lot shuffle. Step out the door, snap in, and send it. Think: a touch of Grateful Dead funk, a lot of fresh air, and everything you actually need.
—(Terrapin Station does NOT have AC)—
Terrapin Station is the perfect bungalow for couples, solos, and small crews who’d rather be outside than standing in a condo elevator line. With only a few 1BR townhomes available in Tamarack Resort, it's the ideal option for guests looking for more privacy, more quiet, and a vibe that's more “your own place":
WHAT WE LOVE
• Fido-friendly (1 pup; register at time of booking; pet fee is $50/pet/stay)
• True ski-in/ski-out to the Buttercup Chairlift
• Corner unit – more privacy, more windows, more nature
• Private hot tub + gas firepit + BBQ grill on a tucked-away patio
• Space on the patio for skis, boards, bikes, and gear – show up with real gear and real plans, the house is ready for it
• Funky, relaxed, Grateful-Dead-adjacent vibe instead of generic “mountain chic”
THE BASICS
• Pellet stove (pellets provided) for warm, cozy evenings
• Rustic-modern décor with a subtle Grateful Dead vibe – unfussy, comfortable, and personal
• High-speed WiFi + 2 Smart TVs (BYO logins) plus cable in living room
• In-unit washer & dryer
• Quality stay essentials (Kirkland shampoo/conditioner/body wash, premium TP, Bounty paper towels, Tide detergent, Lavazza coffee + filters, soaps, etc.)
• Selection of games

• Drip coffee maker + Lavazza coffee & filters
• Open-concept main level with vaulted ceilings and big windows
• Pellet stove for that cabin feel without the hassle
• Cook big ski breakfasts, throw together trail snacks, or come back late and raid the fridge—this place is built for it.
LOCATION
You’re in Tamarack Resort’s serene Clearwater neighborhood, surrounded by trees but close to the action:
• Ski-in/ski-out to Buttercup Chairlift
• Less than 5-minute drive to Tamarack’s Village for restaurants, bars, rentals, events, lake access, and more
• This spot is for people who want out-the-door access to the mountain more than they want a buzzy village scene right underneath them.
PARKING
• Guests do not have access to the detached garage
• 1 driveway parking space in the driveway
• 2 guest parking spots next to the home (first-come, first-served)
• Oversized vehicles/boats: parking permits may be available from Tamarack Outfitters for their oversized lot – call ahead to confirm and reserve
Sleeping Arrangements
Where you'll be
Tamarack Resort is a four-season destination 90 miles north of Boise; it's the perfect basecamp for your west central Idaho adventures, located between the recreation opportunities in Cascade and McCall or those further afield. Nestled on 3,500 acres with 2,800 feet of vertical and adjacent to Lake Cascade, it offers year-round recreation, including some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Idaho, Nordic and snowshoe trails, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, and motorized and non-motorized water sports. Tamarack also offers a host of on-site dining and leisure activities, to include a spa, pickleball courts, and disc golf course. Be sure to check their schedule for hosted events and activities.
Getting around
You'll receive complete driving directions and transportation tips after booking in your Digital Guidebook.
Tamarack Resort offers free 24/7 on-demand “Dial-A-Ride” service throughout the resort. Contact number available on Tamarack Resort's website and in the Digital Guidebook.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
*If you're flying into Boise International Airport, we recommend renting a vehicle directly from the airport.
*It's possible to get an Uber from Boise/BOI to Tamarack Resort, although it's not necessarily a reliable mode of travel; depending on your arrival time and season, you may have difficulty finding a driver who will accept your ride. Uber is not currently accepting advance reservations for trips to Tamarack Resort from Boise; on-demand rides will be your only option.
*If you're traveling in winter or you plan to enjoy the many off-roading adventures available in Valley County, we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle.

September 2025Beautiful property and very nice/clean. Hosts were very responsive and thought of everything. The hot tub was amazing and set back for privacy. Close to McCall, minutes from Lake Cascade, and a short walk to the chairlift if you’re staying here during winter. We would definitely stay here again. Bonus points for being dog friendly too!
